WHAT IS AN ACCEPTABLE EXCUSE?
Dear Diary,
When quarantine first began in March, I knew it’d be bad for my depression. Anyone with depression knows isolation can be your best friend and your worst enemy. I’ve been dealing with anxiety and depression for most of my life. The most annoying thing is that the world keeps going at its normal pace despite me needing time. Time to decide what I need to hear when I get out of bed, look in the mirror before I eat. Everyday tasks like going to school and doing homework lose their priority because after spending all day with these emotional burdens on you, the last thing on your mind is a paper. But emailing your professor you’re too depressed to get out of bed let alone participate in a discussion isn’t an acceptable excuse even if it’s true.
